Austin Vivid Photography was proud to do the official Texas VegFest photography for its third year running.

It really is a special thing to be around so many like minded individuals that care about such a passionate cause.  We heard a lot about why people came out for the festival.  Whether it was for trying to find healthier options, having sweet cravings, a compassion for animals, health concerns, diet restrictions or learn about earth friendly or cruelty free products, they could get their fix here.  There was such a wonderful mix of people; some just out due to curiosity, others contemplating vegetarianism or already on a completely plant based diet.  There was something for every one in a totally judgement free zone.  On top of that there were some really great speakers on hand to help inspire and some that were even local to Austin.

A very warm thank you to all those who made it out to VegFest to make it such a fun event!

That’s right, it’s just about time for the 25th Annual Vegetarian Chili Cook-Off here in Austin, Texas!

You don’t want to miss this.  It’s a great gathering of wonderfully fun people.  There’s so much to do at this event from perusing the vendors, seeing animals up for adoption, trying your hand at arm wrestling one of the biggest and most compassionate vegans I’ve met, listening to wonderful live music, oh and did I mention THE DELICIOUS CHILI!!!  That was just some of the fun this past year offered and I can’t wait to see what this crew comes up for this year.

Chef Lifestyle

Who says plant based chefs aren’t bad ass?  Those veggies are about to meet a whole new destiny.

“Food should taste great.  Food should make you feel good.  Food should look amazing.”

Austin Vivid Photography was out in full force again as the official photographer for the second annual Texas VegFest.  Just like last year this event did not disappoint.  There were entertaining speakers and bands, amazing vendors, delicious food, kids activities and even yoga!  It’s always such a joy to see these local businesses out  doing something positive for the Austin community.

If you feel like you didn’t get your fill of photos from the event here, pop on over to the Texas VegFest Facebook page to see more.

I look forward to seeing you all out there next year.

Entrepreneur + Plant Based Chef = Good Things to Come!

Lifestyle Photography

I’m going to be showcasing some images from a couple of shoots I did for a few plant-based chefs here in Austin.

This is native Austinite, Chef Amanda.  I had a lot of fun with her shoot because she was up for anything I asked her to do, no matter how silly it seemed.  I imagine that’s a very good quality to have as a chef, just being able to flow with whatever is thrown at you and all with a smile.

I look forward to seeing what culinary creations she comes up with in the future.
