Gone Fishing!

The aptly named, Black-Necked Stilt

This snowy egret graced the banks of the Onion Creek in Austin, Texas on a warm July morning.

I felt privileged he didn’t mind the company.

Sometimes rainy mornings force us to sit around the house with our camera trying to capture unwilling subjects when they least expect it.

I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.

“The more civilized man becomes, the more he needs and craves a great background of forest wildness, to which he may return like a contrite prodigal from the husks of an artificial life.”

– Ellen Burns Sherman

A kitten in a basket.  What’s more adorable than that?

“A kitten is chiefly remarkable for rushing about like mad at nothing whatever, and generally stopping before it gets there.”

Here at Austin Vivid Photography we dig taking photographs of cool dogs.

This is Wally nailing the cute puppy dog face!

Good luck tiring this guy out.  Einstein hails from San Antonio but whenever he visits Austin he can’t resist Town Lake.  Fresh air, miles of trail, and belly flops into the water, it’s no wonder he can’t get enough!

Meet Chuck and Mango.  They truly exemplify Austin with their laid back attitudes.  Here they are taking in the sights, sounds (and smells) of this amazing city.

What better way to kick off my site than with puppies!?!  I don’t know about you, but I sure am a sucker for those cute four-legged creatures.

I had the wonderful opportunity of shooting at one of the larger (no pun intended) Great Dane meet-ups in the area.  There I met the sweetest girl, Cheyanne.  I think she really enjoyed posing for the camera.  I know I enjoyed capturing a really sweet moment for her owners to enjoy over the years.
