This city is already hopping in anticipation.

Austin Lifestyle

“Man must rise above the Earth, to the top of the atmosphere and beyond, for only thus will he fully understand the world which he lives.”

-Socrates

That’s right, it’s just about time for the 25th Annual Vegetarian Chili Cook-Off here in Austin, Texas!

You don’t want to miss this.  It’s a great gathering of wonderfully fun people.  There’s so much to do at this event from perusing the vendors, seeing animals up for adoption, trying your hand at arm wrestling one of the biggest and most compassionate vegans I’ve met, listening to wonderful live music, oh and did I mention THE DELICIOUS CHILI!!!  That was just some of the fun this past year offered and I can’t wait to see what this crew comes up for this year.

“As you sit on the hillside, or lie under the trees of the forest, or sprawl wet-legged by a mountain stream, the great door, that does not look like a door, opens.”

– Stephen Graham

Austin Engagement

The big day has finally arrived!!  Grant & Emily are getting married at Mercury Hall.  I am thrilled and honored to be shooting their wedding today.

Austin Vivid Photography was out in full force again as the official photographer for the second annual Texas VegFest.  Just like last year this event did not disappoint.  There were entertaining speakers and bands, amazing vendors, delicious food, kids activities and even yoga!  It’s always such a joy to see these local businesses out  doing something positive for the Austin community.

If you feel like you didn’t get your fill of photos from the event here, pop on over to the Texas VegFest Facebook page to see more.

I look forward to seeing you all out there next year.

Mama Fu's Lifestyle Shoot

I had the privilege of doing a photo shoot for Mama Fu’s Asian House.  I say privilege because the talent I worked with was amazing.  How often do you get to work with a group of people that make you forget you’re working because it’s so much fun?

We worked on a series of images that I will showcase more of later.  Stay tuned.

I recently did a product shoot for PAK, personal accessories kit.  It’s a bag that seems to have everything you could need neatly organized in its own compartments.

Oh, and get this, it’s a locally owned business.  Check them out at thePakstore.com.

If you’re in need of great shots of your products contact me and I would love to offer you a custom quote that works for your product.  After all, a good image can make all the difference.

I had the privilege of being the official photographer for Texas VegFest.  Here’s a sneak-peak of some of the photos.

There was an amazing turn out this past Saturday and I can see why.  All I can say is these people sure know how to throw an event!  From the top-notch speakers, great music, amazing vendors and sponsors to the kids activities, there was something for everyone.  The only downside is having to wait a full year before we can get together and do it again!

Are you ready to Derby?

The Texas Rollergirls are back.  A bunch of bad ass women being awesome, what’s not to love?  Check out their schedule for upcoming bouts.

It doesn’t get much more Texas than watching one of these beautiful creatures graze at sunrise in the Texas hill country.

Here in Austin you have to appreciate live music.  This is one of Austin’s good ol’ Texas country musicians, The Josh Rekieta Band.

“This city is what it is because our citizens are what they are.”  -Plato

Austin is a wonderful city because of  its wonderful people.  This is one of the few places where you will be greeted with an enthusiastic hello and a warm smile.  With our serene lakes, live music scene, flavorful restaurants, a multitude of farmers markets and initiative to buy local;  it’s no wonder this city is what it is.  These are just a few reasons why I am proud to call Austin home.
