With the pandemic of 2020 we’re going to have to wait a bit to chase each other in circles on Thursdays in Austin.

In the meantime here’s a shot from the first and last Driveway Series for a while.  I guess this is proof that some things are more important than bikes.

I couldn’t end cx season without a post of the women’s pro elite championships.

Having the US Cyclocross Nationals in the Pacific Northwest was just perfect this year.

Proof that cyclocross in America is continuing to grow.

Cyclocross…if you know you know.

Watching the Tour de France has been great and all but having the opportunity to see these top tier cyclist battle it out in our own back yard is pretty much the coolest.

Bikes are always in season.

Race days are upon us.

Race day is when you find out if all the training will pay off.

On this day, for this NightOwl, it did.

I just came across this image I captured years ago.  It lived on an old hard drive and wasn’t given a second thought.  This shot is pretty different from how I shoot now but I wanted to share it here because like all photographs we make, it’s part of the process.  I feel like I am a better photographer because of images like this one.  Being able to self critique and see what did and didn’t work here.  It’s a constant learning game and I’m sure I’ll share something another 5 years from now that I’m capturing in this present time and be able to express the same sentiment.

I feel like that’s part of the beauty of art; it keeps growing and if we put enough work in, so long as we’re doing it right, we do too.

Road season is upon us in the US and here at Austin Vivid Photography we couldn’t be more stoked!

Please reach out to us if your looking to have your event or brand captured in some good light, figuratively or literally.  We would love to be your go-to for any photography needs you have.

Sometimes you just get lucky and you get a downpour on your hike through the massive hemlocks which then reveal the beauty of the Pacific only when the rains finally stop and the fog begins to lift.

Sometimes.

The bike scene in Austin Texas is on fire and not just due to the high temperatures.  Texas is consistently getting on the podium across the nation and I don’t think that will be changing anytime soon.

There’s not much more exhilarating than a high-speed chase to the finish line when you’re often inches from the wheel in front of you.

Ellen Nobel leads the U23 field off the line during the Cyclocross National Championships in Asheville.

It’s always an interesting moment seeing this force of power come at you when seconds before there was mostly silence and nerves on the other side of that white line.

Nobel went on to take another National title about an hour after this photo was taken.  Want to see her victoriously crossing that finish line?  Give us a follow on our Instagram for more things cross and I’m sure you’ll come across some of her finish line photos over the years.  I don’t suspect those images will be stopping anytime soon.

Of course if you need a photographer please don’t hesitate to reach out!

The Cyclocross Nationals are coming.  Are you ready?

How will your next adventure be captured?

I’m feeling blessed to experience this moment as the crispness in the morning air signals the season’s change.

Capturing moments like these for clients to enjoy is an extraordinarily rewarding process.

Please let us know how we can be of service to you with your next project.

Out for an adventure this summer?  We’d love to tag along and capture your experience through photographs.  Wether is for commercial purposes or your own personal documentation we’d be honored to be the flies on the wall (or in the sand)!

Feel free to reach out anytime and we’ll be happy to let you know how we can help you out with some photography; it’s what we do.

It’s all about timing.

It seems as though 2017 is shaping up to be the year of women getting after it outdoors.  We are huge fans of that over here at Austin Vivid Photography!  As a matter of fact if you are planning a trip big or small you should consider having it documented through photography.  You can sit back and enjoy the adventure and in the end will come out will some stellar images to help tell your story.

Whether you’re going solo or with your crew, if your taking on an epic camping adventure or even just a hike in your local trails, Sally and I would love to capture it all.  Feel free to reach out to us and see how we can help.
