A little escape from not being able to escape.

Though photo shoots may be on hold due to the worldwide pandemic we’re facing, it doesn’t prevent us from reminiscing on shoots from the recent past.

Stay safe out there y’all!

With the pandemic of 2020 we’re going to have to wait a bit to chase each other in circles on Thursdays in Austin.

In the meantime here’s a shot from the first and last Driveway Series for a while.  I guess this is proof that some things are more important than bikes.

I couldn’t end cx season without a post of the women’s pro elite championships.

The aptly named, Black-Necked Stilt

Watching the Tour de France has been great and all but having the opportunity to see these top tier cyclist battle it out in our own back yard is pretty much the coolest.

Bikes are always in season.

Race days are upon us.

Being out in nature tends to inspire people in pretty remarkable ways.  That’s one of the many reasons, here at Austin Vivid Photography, we love to get out in the elements and help capture that spirit in image form.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us to help capture you in your element.  We would love to team up with you!  Also feel free to drop us a line anytime just to say hello, we dig that too!

Race day is when you find out if all the training will pay off.

On this day, for this NightOwl, it did.

Sometimes you just get lucky and you get a downpour on your hike through the massive hemlocks which then reveal the beauty of the Pacific only when the rains finally stop and the fog begins to lift.

Sometimes.

There’s nothing quite like being out capturing a storm blowing through.

Oh, and we do head shots too!  In fact we kind of love doing them.  Please reach out to us to see how we can help you get your new head shot.

Head shots start at $120 and we do offer discount packages as well.

Adventure snacks.  Don’t leave home (or the tent) without them.

Where the land meets the sea.

There’s a vast ocean beyond that fog.  We just had to be patient as to when it decided to reveal itself to us in all its glory.

Anytime you’re feeling a bit sendy, give us a call.  We’ll be there.

This is a bit of a throw back to about 5 years ago, capturing this amateur/pro rider smash down the mountain.  Now that we have a downhill getting ready to open up here in Texas, I’m itching to get back out there and see what we can come up with behind the lens as well as behind the bars!  If you’re thinking about heading out there don’t hesitate to reach out to see what we can get into.

If you’re looking to get a new headshot you’re in the right place!

Headshots offered at $120, which covers us coming to you or a location of your choosing, the session time (no time limits), and an edited image of your choosing.  That’s it; no hidden costs and hassle free.

Oh and we offer discounts for businesses with 5 or more so heck, if you get four more friends on board you too can score the discounted rate of $100 per person.

Please feel to reach out to us today and let us know what your looking for.  We’re always happy to help!

Our job in a nutshell:

Ellen Nobel leads the U23 field off the line during the Cyclocross National Championships in Asheville.

It’s always an interesting moment seeing this force of power come at you when seconds before there was mostly silence and nerves on the other side of that white line.

Nobel went on to take another National title about an hour after this photo was taken.  Want to see her victoriously crossing that finish line?  Give us a follow on our Instagram for more things cross and I’m sure you’ll come across some of her finish line photos over the years.  I don’t suspect those images will be stopping anytime soon.

Of course if you need a photographer please don’t hesitate to reach out!
